Titilola Olojede is an award-winning AI ethics scholar, international speaker and higher education leader whose work spans AI ethics, research integrity, AI governance and digital transformation. She brings African philosophical perspectives into dialogue with global AI governance, helping universities, governments and international organisations think about responsible AI. She is also a Research Fellow at IGVI in Germany and has delivered keynotes, workshops and invited lectures for the United Nations, Springer Nature, the World Conference on Research Integrity and professional organisations.

Dr Lorna Waddington · University of Leeds

International history, academic integrity and sensitive research

Dr Lorna Waddington is Associate Professor of International History at the University of Leeds and First Vice President of the International Association of Genocide Scholars.

Author of Hitler's Crusade, her research encompasses Nazi Germany, antisemitism and responses to ethnic cleansing and genocide, including work on Cambodia and Bosnia.

As Academic Lead for Academic Integrity at Leeds, she also examines the ethical and governance implications of generative AI in research and teaching. By testing AI systems against material from her own field, she has developed a typology of the ways such tools can fail researchers working with sensitive subjects.

She has shared this work with UNESCO, UNITAR and the European Network for Academic Integrity and contributes commentary to The Guardian and Times Higher Education.

Responsible AI, research governance and institutional change

Dr Richard de Blacquière-Clarkson is a researcher, educator and organisational development practitioner specialising in responsible AI, research governance and institutional change in higher education.

Founder and lead of the University of Leeds AI Hub, he works with academic, professional and sector partners to develop evidence-informed approaches to AI adoption, researcher development and organisational capability.

His research and scholarship explore AI ethics, academic integrity, educational innovation and the social implications of digital technologies, with publications spanning AI, co-creation and digital education. He contributes to national and international policy and professional discussions on AI in research and education.
