The project
Between representation and experience.
Generative image systems do more than create pictures. They can reproduce ideas about what places, cultures and communities are supposed to look like.
Tracking Representations through AI Images versus Lived Spaces examines that representational gap by setting AI-generated imagery against lived spaces and experiences.
The project asks what becomes visible, what becomes distorted and what disappears when generative systems construct an image of the world.

This page is deliberately prepared for paired project imagery. As the research develops, the abstract visual can be replaced with side-by-side or sequenced comparisons between generated representations and photographs or other records of lived space.
The project material itself should become the visual language here rather than generic decorative AI imagery.
